PartnerMD is pleased to announce that it is expanding with a third Richmond location in the GreenGate development west of Short Pump in Henrico County. Driven by significant individual and corporate customer growth over the past two years at the leading concierge primary care and executive health practice, this will be PartnerMD’s seventh location overall when it opens in spring 2020.
“We’re very excited to offer a new, convenient location for patients in Richmond’s Far West End,” PartnerMD CEO Zack Smith said. “Our rapid growth and expansion of physicians and services has pushed the limits of our existing offices at Reynolds Crossing and Midlothian, and we’re thrilled to better serve both the residents and companies in this fast-growing part of our hometown market.”
PartnerMD recently added two new physicians in Richmond — Dr. Elizabeth Bigelow and Dr. Steven Bishop. Dr. Bigelow, a family physician, joined in October from the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center and will transition to GreenGate upon opening.
Dr. Bishop, an internist who starts in December from VCU Health, will see patients at Reynolds Crossing and serve as director of wellness at PartnerMD to continue the growth of its disease prevention programs around such holistic health topics as weight loss, diabetes, sleep, and stress.
Aside from physician and patient growth, PartnerMD expanded its wellness offerings this year through a new genetics partnership with VCU Health.
Through the partnership, patients have onsite access at PartnerMD offices to the most advanced and personalized genetics counseling available, as well as genetic testing that uses VCU Health’s CLIA-certified laboratories to ensure the highest quality levels of testing. This is in addition to their long-standing partnership with Cleveland HeartLab for advanced heart health, inflammation, metabolic, and gut health testing.
PartnerMD is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Markel Ventures. It has been the leader in concierge primary care and executive health in the Richmond area for more than 16 years. With the GreenGate opening, PartnerMD will have 26 physicians serving almost 10,000 patients across seven locations from Baltimore to Atlanta.
