**Dr. Sherrard is not accepting new patients.
Dr. Lindsay Sherrard always wanted to be a doctor, even going back to her early childhood when she would collect and study old X-rays from her family doctor’s office.
Family medicine was a perfect fit for her, combining her passion for preventive medicine and her desire to see the whole family, from children to parents to grandparents.
"I help my patients best when I know them in context," Dr. Sherrard says. "When I know their history, their family, their concerns, what they’ve been through in the past. That’s where I can really make a difference."
During her career, Dr. Sherrard has made preventive care a priority, but she also enjoys helping her patients navigate whatever health challenges come along.
She has extensive experience caring for patients of all ages, including nursing home care, hospital care, hospice/palliative, pediatrics, and outpatient procedures.
What’s the most important thing Dr. Sherrard does as a doctor?
"Listen," she says. "It’s critical and helps me see the whole picture. Before I recommend tests or treatments, I want to hear the whole story. Then, I can customize each patient’s care and help them achieve their goals while using as few medicines as possible."

Philosophy of Care
"I don’t want my patients to be limited by their health. I want them to be able to do what they want to do in life. Accomplishing that requires a proactive approach centered on preventive care and stopping problems before they start."
Favorite Part About Being a Doctor
"When a patient tells me that I’ve helped make their life better. That’s the ultimate compliment for me.”
Outside the office, Dr. Sherrard enjoys spending time with her husband, their two boys, and the rest of their extended family, which includes 10 nieces and nephews.
She is active in her church, particularly with the children’s ministry, and she also loves to garden and cook.
Dr. Sherrard also enjoys traveling to Egypt and her family’s annual vacation to Pawleys Island, South Carolina.
