Dr. Mark Petrizzi, Concierge Doctor in Short Pump, VA

"Dr. Petrizzi is the best family doctor I've ever had! He's easy to communicate with, he listens carefully, and he responds thoughtfully and reasonably...Because of his experience and high standards, he inspires confidence, and I feel that I am getting the best advice."

- Dale, Patient

"I went into family practice so I could treat my patients like family," Dr. Mark Petrizzi says. "And I never rush family."

For more than 20 years as a board-certified family medicine and concierge doctor in Short Pump, VA, Dr. Petrizzi has focused on providing holistic, preventive care to patients ages six and up.

He combines integrative medicine and whole-person wellness to help patients improve their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

And the key to that, he says, is getting to know the patient on a personal level.

"I meet my patients where they want to begin, and we talk about whatever they’re comfortable with," he says.

"For some, the spiritual element is important. For others, less so. Either way is perfectly OK. That’s the point of personalized medicine. Together, we create a path forward that’s right for you."

And to figure out the best path, it takes a conversation.

"When I first meet a new patient, I want to learn where they are at that moment physically, mentally, and spiritually," he says. "I want that first discussion to feel like a conversation between new friends, so I can best guide them forward."

"I am extremely pleased that I have Dr. Petrizzi as my physician. He is extremely educated in the medical world to the point that I call him my quarterback."

- Walker, Patient
