As Chief Financial Officer, Richard is responsible for the financial reporting of the organization and oversees the coordination of financial planning and analysis.
In this role, Richard ensures the company's accounting procedures and reporting conform to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
In addition, he provides financial guidance and analysis to support strategic business decisions.
Richard has 29 years of overall financial and operational leadership experience within high-growth startups as well as multinational billion-dollar companies.
Before joining PartnerMD, he served as Shenandoah Growers’ (now Soli Organic) first CFO, where he helped scale the company from a regional family produce company into a national category and ag-tech leader.
Richard has also spent time in several different leadership positions across a variety of industries, including financial services and manufacturing.
In each of those positions, he built effective financial organizations by partnering with operations and sales leaders to streamline processes that drive growth and increase bottom-line profitability.
He employs a disciplined and flexible problem-solving approach that balances business goals with stakeholder needs.
Richard attended UVA’s McIntire School of Commerce and George Washington University’s School of Business.
He was born in Virginia, and outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, working on his house, and volunteering with USA Swimming as an official.
