After a introducing Keto, Midlothian health coach Jaime Monsen returns with an introduction in Paleo, another popular low-carb program. What is it? What do you eat? What don't you eat? How do you get started? Watch the video below and read on for more.
The paleo program is essentially a caveman lifestyle. It's thinking about foods you hunt and gather, rather than those made for the grocery store.
The program relies on natural foods and primarily focuses on fish, meats, fruits, and vegetables.
While on paleo, you don't eat grains, processed foods, and added sugars.
Because it's a popular program, there is a ton of information, guides, and recipes out there on Paleo. The first step is to find a food guide, such as the Ultimate Paleo Guide, to find out exactly what you should and shouldn't be eating. The good thing about Paleo is it has an 80/20 rule, which means you are on the program 80% of the time and off the program 20% of the time, so you can still indulge every once in awhile.
